As one of the most beautiful hill areas in northern India, Shimla is one of the most popular hill stations. It was the summer capital of British India and had well-planned architecture. It is located at an elevation of 2,205 meters. The town is well-known for its scenic walks on hillsides surrounded by pine and oak forests.

Himachal Pradesh’s capital city is well-known for The Mall, the Ridge, and the Toy Train. The town includes colonial-style structures and ancient relics that give it a distinct appearance. Its steep hillsides merge in all directions over a 12-kilometer crest. During the morning and evening hours, The Mall, the town’s connecting thoroughfare, is bustling with locals and tourists.

Shimla was created by the British on land they had retained following the Gurkha War of 1814-16 and used as a resting place for troops. South Shimla features a market that cascades down to the cart road. It is covered in snow from mid-July until mid-September, making it an inspiration for all nature enthusiasts.
